1966 Chevrolet Corvette Red Fire Metallic Convertible
Car History
The Corvette was always America's only true sports car and the 1966
Corvette Convertible, like the frame-off restored numbers matching
one we have here at Adventure Classics, is the perfect example.
This lovely restored convertible has the 327-350 horse powered
engine with Air Conditioning, 4-speed, unique red fire metallic
paint, black interior, knock-off wheels, and black vinyl top. What
more do you need?
Engine & Drivetrain
These Corvettes always had performance under the hood and ours has
a 327 cubic inch V8 engine with 350 horsepower and is backed by the
4-speed manual transmission.
From the minute you open the hood and see the restored small block
with its orange painted engine block, Corvette script finned
aluminum valve covers, aluminum Winters intake, 4-barrel carb,
chrome open air cleaner, factory cast iron Rams Head exhaust
manifolds, aftermarket air conditioning, power steering, power
brakes, and all sitting in a correctly restored engine compartment
and chassis with all the right parts, you will know that this
Corvette was been built right and meant to run.
Interior
This Corvette offers a completely luxurious driving environment.
The interior features trim of durable expanded vinyl with a more
subtle texture, individual twin black bucket seats that have a
factory bolster-like design for more seating comfort and better
lateral support, black carpet, matching black door panels, black
carpet and floor mats, and dual sun visors. There is a hard top
included that is painted and not completely finished on the
under-side.
It's equipped with air conditioning, a defroster along with the
electrical clock, radio controls vent controls, matched speedometer
and tachometer which are the primary instruments with an electrical
fuel gauge. There is the head-light switch, cigarette lighter,
head-lamp retractor switch, hood release, great factory Corvette
polished wood steering wheel, and a four-position ignition switch
that completes the instrument panel with the floor console holding
the chrome shifter and ball for the 4-speed.
Exterior
The red fire metallic paint on our 1966 Corvette is beautiful as it
flows over the big block style hood that hoovers behind the front
wheels to help increase air flow through the engine compartment,
giving it both an aggressive and sophisticated look.
All the trim, bumpers, taillights, door handles, the flip-up gas
cap, and the black convertible top is in as-new condition as well
as the cast aluminum wheels with the knock-off type hubs and BF
Goodrich raised white letter tires, as well as the factory type
side exhaust making that great Corvette rumble, which recreates the
look and sounds of a real 60's Corvette.
Conclusion
More than ever, the restored 1966 Corvette Roadster we have here at
Adventure Classics is luxurious transportation for two, backed by
the potent 327-350 horse engine that will give you a different kind
of driving experience than you have ever had and one to be proud to
show!.
