Vehicle Description
Sleek, custom, and absolutely unique vehicle is a great way to grab
attention. The Volkswagen-based Maxi Taxi build delivers a hardy
and peppy upgraded motor and you even have nice features like
four-wheel disc brakes.
This is a custom that can be accepted by any crowd. After all, it's
based on a VW, looks like a Ford, and doesn't have a single inch
that hasn't been customized. It starts with a shade of blue
metallic clearcoat that looks like candy-coated lollipop. More than
just the paint, you have a terrific convertible-style fixed
fiberglass hardtop, side carriage lights, color-matched bumpers,
roof bars, and so much more for people to look at. And Cragar SS
wheels are always a terrific way to have a shining and vintage
ride. The overall finish and details do show signs of being driven
and enjoyed, but really, you're thinking about just having fun with
a lively cruiser, too. After all, they didn't just give this
velocity stacks coming out of the "hood" to make it look like a
front-engined V8, but these are also slightly heat tarnished to
sell the hot rod idea. So yes, it's a detailed build.
The interior is done with the right beach buggy attitude. The seats
have a cool off-road style and are finished in durable vinyl. But
the clean black upholstery and diamond plate style flooring show
that rugged can also be fashionable. There are even some fun
details like the toggle switches in the roof and the speaker boxes
made to look like rear headrests. But what you'll like the best is
the driver-oriented style. You have a grippy sports steering wheel,
EMPI shifter, and upgraded gauges with column-mounted tach.
The engine bay is ready to show off with a tidy presentation and
plenty of bright components like the air grabber, pulleys, and fan
shroud. But as stylish as this is, you also are comforted by the
knowledge that this is a hardy and stout 1600cc Beetle powerplant.
And this VW feels great out on the road thanks to the control of
the four-speed manual transmission, wide rear tires, and an upgrade
to four-wheel disc brakes.
It's hard to beat a hardy machine that commands attention like this
one - especially at such an obtainable price. So don't miss out,
call today! (Titled as 1974 ASM)
