Great Looking

This Thunderbird is such a great example of this series it takes you back to the Ford showrooms of the mid 60’s when the owner’s grandfather bought it new.

Paint and Chrome

Resprayed in its original Diamond Blue Platinum, this car’s finish looks almost as new. The chrome is very nice, as is the stainless trim.

Interior

The interior blue upholstery is in very nice condition.  The car is equipped with a center console and swing-away steering wheel.  The carpet on the passenger side is faded but mostly covered with a Thunderbird set of floor mats.

Engine

The 390 cid engine is believed to be the original V-8 that starts right up and delivers a herd of ponies when you put your foot into it.

Transmission

The automatic transmission makes driving this grand touring car a pleasure.

Chassis

The underside of this Thunderbird (see pictures) is free of any visible structural rust or corrosion.  The car will need replacement of its rear mufflers.

Safety and Comfort features

The car has power front disc brakes to bring this car to a quick and straight stop.  Power steering makes driving effortless.  And factory air conditioning makes it a pleasure to drive even on the hottest summer days.

All of the safety and accessory features work—lights, turn signals, wipers, horn—but the electric clock will need some attention.  

The narrow whitewall American Classic tires have most of their tread left and look great with the full wheel covers and fender skirts.
