Vehicle Description
This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is an awesome Pro Touring
custom build. It includes a sports suspension, four-wheel disc
brakes, an overdrive transmission, and a comfy upgraded interior.
And at its heart is an enhanced and fortified fuel-injected
Corvette powerhouse.
The glossy cream is a great color on this classic. It isn't so bold
that this loses any of its vintage vibe, but there's an extra
brilliance here that signals this is an upgraded machine. And
because this one has the cleaner lines of a true 138-code Super
Sport, the good gloss really lets you see the great creases of the
iconic sheet metal. Plus, the chrome bumpers have a nice shine, the
glass is clean, and the headlights have a jewel-like clear style.
We're even told this was a California car for its life before the
restoration. It's an attractive coupe, but it never takes its
vanity too seriously, and that's because this is a pro touring car
that was made to be driven. You really get that vibe when you see
the 20-inch Intro alloys with the extra meaty rear set of modern
sport tires that gives this stance and substance.
When you open the doors, you're greeted with a custom black
interior. Up front is a pair of Procar bucket seats. They have the
classic low-back style, but the bolstering hugs your body like no
1960s machine ever did. The rear bench, carpeting, door panels, and
headliner all coordinate in a dark and clean style. The exterior
cream even returns on the door tops and dash for a tasteful
contrast. It makes for a stylish hardtop that also knows how to
focus on the driver. You get nice features like a center console,
upgraded pedals, a polished sports steering wheel, an Ididit chrome
tilt steering column, and a full set of Dakota Digital gauges with
a menacing red glow.
The engine bay is ready for display with its tidy style and
ultra-smooth inner walls. And on a pro touring car like this, the
engine is the true heart of the build. That's why you get a special
LT4 powerhouse. This fuel-injected 5.7-liter V8 is already famous
for being a single-year offering that solidified the C4 Grand
Sport, but that was just the beginning for this one. It's a full
professional build that has been enhanced and fortified. The list
includes an Eagle forged crank, Eagle H-beam connecting rods, ARP
bolts, 12.25 compression, CNC ported heads & intake, a Lloyd Elliot
custom grind cam, and a Holley 58mm throttle body. We have a long
list of this comprehensive build, so call for all the details.
Hooker ceramic-coated headers let this powerful motor exhale with
the rumble it deserves. There are also right supporting components,
too, like an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, billet hood
hinges, and an Optima battery mounted in the trunk for better
weight distribution. The V8 is mated to a stout and smooth 4L60E
four-speed transmission, and so the full package was built to give
you both speedy performance and easy overdrive cruising. The full
suspension was upgraded including CPP tubular front A-arms, a CPP
triangulated four-link rear, and Hotchkis sway bars. This is added
to power steering, modern performance tires, and the superior
stopping power of Baer four-wheel power disc brakes for a solid
driving total package.
We like that this is an awesomely powerful car with the right
upgrades to let you enjoy it to the fullest. And it really is built
for driving. So you may want some paint correction or add a stereo
if you're looking for a full show car, but you also know those are
the kind of custom classics that approach six figures. So if you're
looking for a terrific driver or a great pro touring deal, you know
this hardtop is it. Call today!!!
