Vehicle Description
This 1987 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer has a very useful sense of style.
So while you'll like the stock vintage look and loaded A/C
interior, it's the fuel-injected V8 and 4x4 drivetrain that makes
this the one to take home.
The VIN background info on this Bronco shows it has only had two
owners over the last 35 years... So we bet you've lived in more
houses than there are names on this title. In fact, the first owner
held onto it for nearly a quarter-century. So you'll see signs of
being driven on an SUV where the odometer is believed to represent
the actual mileage (with one rollover) but the overall condition
reminds you there's a difference between use and abuse. So the body
panels look good, the bumpers still shine, and it still proudly
wears the Eddie Bauer badges. The two-tone blue and tan is an
attractive color combo, especially with the way the respray has a
good gloss while still looking aged and vintage. And there are nice
details like how the tan on the lower section coordinates with the
removable hardtop. And just like the previous two owners, you're
going to find this handy. Carr side steps, tow mirrors, a tow hitch
bumper, and a full-size spare on a swing-away mount are all part of
a useful 4x4.
The tan velour interior has a comfy style. And the great thing
about an Eddie Bauer edition is that you know it's going to be
loaded. This includes power windows, power locks, the factory
AM/FM/cassette stereo, and cold-blowing air conditioning. Up front
are bucket seats, a center console, and fold-down armrests. And the
dual-spoke steering wheel gives you a good view of the full gauges
with large speedo and tach. It all looks exceptional stock to where
it will be difficult to identify anything that wasn't
factory-issued. So while you may update the headliner or find other
details to restore, there's a fundamental appeal of something this
loaded and versatile.
Under the hood is a fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8. This is a
long-standing hardy workhorse in the Ford family, and it only gets
better with factory fuel injection. This generation Bronco is a
great one to own because you have the vintage style, but nice
driving comforts like cruise control and a four-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive. But it also has classic features, like
how the 4x4 system is on a sturdy floor shift. Plus, power
steering, power brakes, and front discs are good for anytime
driving.
This is the two-owner Bronco that loves to remain a useful 4x4. So
