Mechanical
Our 1975 Chevrolet takes on a new level of performance with the
transplanted Chevrolet LS engine with performance features like
Chevrolet engine cover, cold air open element air cleaner, large
tubular factory exhaust, performance spark plug wires, performance
plumbing, power steering, power brakes, and all sitting in a
spotless and detailed engine compartment and sporting air
conditioning too.
The engine is backed by an overdrive automatic transmission,
reworked suspension with Wildwood disc brakes, 10-bolt rear end,
and a dual exhaust system and rides on custom polished/grey 17"
5-spoke mag wheels on black sidewall tires.
This car has plenty of power, great handling and braking, and a
killer exhaust note from the dual exhaust.
Interior
The all black interior shows a lot of originality but has
improvements like the twin black vinyl bucket seats with headrests
that have improved side bolsters to keep you cradled while you
drive, center console and the automatic shifter on the floor let
you know you're in control of a muscle car, custom stereo radio
system, tilt steering column with the factory Chevrolet Camaro
steering wheel, matching black rear seats and door panels,
white-face performance gauges, remote mirrors, black carpets, black
factory seatbelts, and factory black headliner.
Exterior
Chevy took its prized muscle car through some serious changes when
it brought out the second generation of Camaros with the wider
track and a more aerodynamic form. They rode lower than their
predecessors for an improved center of gravity and wore a fastback
roofline to create a striking profile, amplified by the wraparound
rear windshield.
Ours is repainted in a great copper color with a pair of broad
black racing stripes running the lengths of its hood and deck
lid.
It has plenty of visual impact with the raised cowl hood, front and
rear spoilers, and painted bumpers give this car a menacing and
sporty look.
These second-generation Camaro's are considered by many to be the
best looking Camaro ever built and this car makes it hard to
disagree with that.
Conclusion
You really don't see too many of its second-generation Camaro's
cruising the highways these days, so this restored 1975 Chevrolet
Camaro Rest-Mod we have here at Skyway Classics that has a LS
Chevrolet engine, new paint, and nice mags and tires, is a rare
sight to see.
It features a strong running engine that's anchoring a road ready
drivetrain as well as a solid foundation.
