1971 Chevrolet Chevelle 2dr Hardtop SS tribute finished in Red
paint with black stripes with a black vinyl roof. This is not a
true SS and we are not selling it as such, SS badging has been
added along the line. Vinyl top has been recently replaced and as
such shows well. This car has been repainted along the line to the
red you see today. Chrome and brightwork in nice shape and shows
well against the paint. The previous owner had this for 30 years
before coming to us. Riding on the 5-spoke wheels with Goodyear
Eagle tires. Powered by the 396 V8 (bored .30 over) under the hood
that is paired up with a TH400 automatic transmission. Nicely
equipped with power steering, tilt column, Edelbrock carb, power
brakes, and A/C. A/C BLOWS COLD! This does have true 2 1/2'
diameter dual exhaust all the way to the rear. The 3.08
positraction rear end was redone approximately 10 years ago as
well. New windshield and the bumpers have been rechromed, nice
looking Chevelle front to back. Aftermarket am/fm/cassette stereo
has been installed in the glovebox with dual rear speakers, all
while retaining the original radio in the dash. Other things done
to this recently include: electric fuel pump, new alternator,
4-core radiator, and electric fans. Battery has been replaced in
2021. Previous owner also stated the E-brake is in working order.
Black vinyl bench seat interior with automatic on the column. Seats
are in nice shape, headliner and dash also looking good.
Aftermarket column-mounted tachometer and under-dash gauge cluster
both installed and in working order. This car does have both the
shoulder belts and the lap belts for the front seat. Great sounding
Chevrolet Chevelle!
