note: If you happen to be viewing this 2006 Porsche Carrera S on a
website other than our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that
you've only seen some of our many photographs of the car due to
third-party website limitations. To be sure you access all the more
than 210 photographs, as well as a short start-up and walk-around
video, and a link to its accident and damage-free Carfax history,
please go to our main website: GKM.com) The biggest problem with
this car is everyone wants a ride, and insists that you show them
what it can do. Andrew Luu, Autoweek, June 2006 Another reviewer of
this model, Mike Solowio, of TheTruthAboutCars (May 9, 2009)
website waxed eloquent of his time with the car even three years
later: 200km/h ticked by on the digital speedo and I was still
pressed into the sports seats. 230km/h flashed by, and the scenery
of autobahn, cars, and trees started to blur. 260km/h rolled by and
I started to think 'Holy hell!'. At 303km/h I became a laser-guided
Autobahn Cruise Missile. I swear I heard sonic booms echo off the
Opels I passed. The Porsche and I were melded at this point, a
human-machine interface so cohesive it would take three g's of
braking force from the vented discs to separate us. The 997-series
911 Carrera S is a special Porsche that has just as clearly been
loved. The only hiccup on its 3-owner Carfax report is an accident
14 years and 24,000 miles ago involving damage to the left-front of
the car. There is no remaining sign of any damage; all repairs were
professionally performed to a high standard. Offered here is an
extensively documented, highly optioned 2006 Porsche Carrera S in
Basalt Black Metallic over Sand Beige standard leather. A copy of
the car's original factory window sticker showing factory options
and standard equipment, a log of parts and services, ample service
invoices for parts and labor (including from highly respected
German Auto Service in Grand Rapids) are included in the sale (with
document photos shown in the gallery for reference). Originally
sold at Brandywine Porsche in Newton Square, Pennsylvania, the
car's odometer currently shows 29,452 miles, or fewer than 1,850
miles per-year on average since new. Its excellent overall
condition is a testament to prior owners' care, first-class
maintenance, and the very restrained mileage-build. The Basalt
Black metallic exterior paint shows very well, characteristic of
the quality painting techniques that have long characterized
Porsche manufacturing. Sheet-metal body panels are free of dings,
dents, or other noteworthy damage. Matte-black body trim-including
the front and rear grilles, window surrounds, rear spoiler lip, and
rear fender grilles (one draws cool air in, the other allows hot
air out) are similarly free of wear or damage. (To best assess the
quality of the paint and trim finishes, please be sure to view the
close-up photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.) Door
handles show only very light patina from normal use. Tinted cabin
glass and all lighting lenses are clear and free of cracks or
abrasion. Factory badging includes just the Porsche crest on the
hood and the Cayman S script lettering on the rear deck. Factory
19-inch alloy lobster claw style wheels are mounted with
staggered-width Hankook tires. The open style of the wheels allows
views of the red-painted, Porsche-branded brake calipers and
cross-drilled brake rotors. The Sand Beige leather interior
perfectly complements the exterior paint for a classic
black-and-tan look. Leather seat upholstery is well-kept and free
of rips or seam separations. Tan carpeting covers the cabin and
cargo-area floors; grey Door trim in tan includes molded panels
with carpet
