Vehicle Description
This 1990 Ford Bronco XLT 4x4 has a lot of appeal with its
fuel-injected V8, overdrive transmission, A/C interior,
four-wheel-drive prowess, and a ton of potential.
This generation of Bronco has one of the most desirable styles
going. The flat face was one of the most imposing designs of the
entire 70+ years of the F-Series line. And the squared-off stance
of the short wheelbase Bronco only amplifies that appeal with
strength in its stance. But blocky doesn't mean dull. The straight
body lines show off the full-length sheet metal crease, and chrome
bumpers and polished alloys give it some brightwork flair. Plus,
the two-tone brown and cream is a stylish look. It's nicely
intertwined with a pinstripe providing a clear dividing line. And
even the removable hardtop coordinates with the color theme. It's
attractive but it never looks so serious that you'd hesitate to use
this one for fun. Westin side step bars, towing mirrors, a tow
hitch, and a full-size spare on a swing-away mount are all part of
this useful and adventurous attitude.
The interior is built with a driver in mind, and so you have
features like a fold-down center armrest, cup holder center
console, a tilt steering column, full gauges with tach, and cruise
control. There are some nice updates like an AM/FM/CD stereo with
USB and Bluetooth for better driving music. And the factory air
conditioning is now blowing cold with modern R134a refrigerant. So
you can still stay cool even on those summer days when you take out
the rear hardtop and go for a drive.
Under the hood is Ford's hardy 5.0-liter V8. This is from the
desirable fuel-injection years. You'll also spot newer components
like the alternator, compressor, distributor cap, plug wire, and
temp sensor. The full package will still need some fine-tuning, but
this is a V8 that fires up eagerly like it wants to get out there
soon. And speaking of getting out there, you also have the
two-speed 4x4 transfer case controlled by the push buttons on the
dash. Power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a four-speed
automatic transmission with overdrive complete a classic truck
package with modern appeal.
This is the Bronco that looks stylish and opens the door for
personal projects. You may want to give it a professional polish,
some shade-tree mechanic love, restore some of the interior power
features, upgrade the upholstery, or just some added
restoration/personalization. But at its heart is the stylish and
rugged flat-front Bronco that will always have an awesome appeal on
and off-road. Call now!
