GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1987 Porsche 928 S4. The
current owner just recently put $9,400 worth of upkeep and
maintenance at a local shop to bring it up to par fixing odds and
ends along with new front and rear brakes and valve cover gaskets
along with oil pan gasket. The car comes with various work done
over the last 10 years of ownership as well.
It is powered by its 5.0L V8 with four overhead camshafts and four
valves per cylinder, and a 5 speed manual gearbox. For all the fun
that Porsche has offered over the years, this is another fine
example of the engineering and speed that comes with style!
Introduced in 1978 the Porsche 928 was anything but Porsche.
Front-engine, V8, automatic transmission, were all words that were
not synonymous with the brand. The car was futuristic in design and
the Luxury Sport Grand Touring 928 combined the power, poise, and
handling characteristics of a sports car with the refinement,
comfort, and equipment of a luxury sedan leading many executives to
believe it was to replace the 911 as its appeal would hold a wider
audience. The 928 S4 debuted for the 1987 Model year and featured
an updated version of the 5.0 liter V8 as well as some updated
styling cues giving the car a cleaner, sleeker look.
