1973 Datsun 240Z
History:
I purchased this car from the original owner’s estate. His mother had bought the car new for him in Lexington as a graduation present University of Kentucky. After years of driving pleasure, he had a professional restoration completed and began showing it in regional competition. It remains in show condition. This 240Z has all the purchase documents including the original window sticker, sales invoice, sold tag, key, owners manual, warranty card, etc. The Concours trophies, ribbons and awards along with all the car’s documentation are all included in the sale.
Highlights:
The 240Z is equipped with its original engine and 4 speed transmission along with working A/C and front disc brakes. The car was undercoated when new by the Lexington dealer. Paint (code 114) is base coat/clear coat, very bright and shiny. The sheet metal is straight and the panel gaps are factory or better. The window moldings are all buffed and present well. All the glass is the original Nissan, in excellent condition. The gauges all work as shown in pictures including the clock. The odometer is believed to have been reset at the time of the restoration, but the actual mileage is unknown.
Custom valve cover, plug wires, exhaust tips and Nardi steering wheel were added for show but easily correctable back to stock if preferred. The original steering wheel is included in the sale. I changed to the Rota wheels because of personal preference, with less than 500 miles on them and tires.
