1976 Chevrolet Corvette Red Stingray T-Top Coupe
Car History
Here for sale today at Adventure Classics is a beautifully restored
Red 1976 T-top Coupe in a stunning combination and with an
automatic transmission and air conditioning for those hot summer
day and nights cruises.
The 1976 Corvette included multiple advancements in safety and
driver comfort due to the tightening federal safety standards and
customers searching for more comfort oriented sports cars. The
front split chrome bumpers were replaced with polyurethane covers
to hide the aluminum impact bar and brackets.
Engine & Drivetrain
This appears to be the original L48 350 cubic inch engine that when
stock was conservatively rated at 180 horsepower with an automatic
as it left the factory. However, ours has been modified with an
aluminum intake, tall performance chrome open element air cleaner,
chrome valve covers, performance distributor and sparkplug wires,
and 4-barrell carb.
The engine compartment is fully detailed with the correct orange
painted engine block, all the correct hoses, wires, power steering,
power brakes, air conditioning, and sitting in an engine
compartment that is complete and nicely detailed.
When you look underneath at the chassis you will find it painted
and detailed also with components replaced. It has BF Goodrich
Radial TA raised white letter tires on factory Rallye wheels with
chrome trim rings and caps giving it the correct look and
stance.
Interior
Our 1976 Corvette features individually adjustable, deep-pleated
and saddle bucket seats with the dash that has an AM/FM radio with
dual speakers, lighter and ashtray, speedometer, trip odometer and
matching tach, and auxiliary instruments on a separate panel over
the console include fuel, clock with sweep-second hand, oil
pressure and amps, plus reminder lights for seat belts, door ajar
and headlight doors.
It also has matching saddle door panels with built-in armrests, an
assist grip, matching rich color-keyed, deep-twist carpeting
underfoot, lockable compartments, factory console with the hand
brake and shift lever, wood grain in the console, power windows,
factory wheel and steering wheel, and a fully carpeted luggage
space.
Exterior
Check out the fresh Flame Red paint job flowing over the classic
lines of the Corvette Stingray body. It has a twin side chrome
mirrors, side vents with the Stingray emblems, power antennae,
domed hood, front spoiler, pop-up headlights, chrome luggage rack,
great trim and stainless, and chrome exhaust tips on the dual
exhaust.
