The Lincoln Continental has always been a staple in the luxury car
market ever since its debut in 1940. Throughout the years, Lincoln
produced ten different generations of the iconic luxury car. This
1976 Lincoln Continental Town Car is an excellent, collector grade
example of the fifth generation of the Lincoln Continental. This
1976 Lincoln Continental is unrestored and has been very well
preserved with just over 49,000 original miles. The original, Dove
Grey paint is in excellent condition and shines very well with only
a few minor defects to note. The Dove Grey exterior is complimented
nicely by the factory painted, White pin stripes on either side of
the car, factory stainless trim, chrome grill, fabulous bumpers,
and the original steel wheels with polished hubcaps. The factory,
Dove Grey Versailles Velour interior is in excellent condition with
only minor wear present on the steering wheel. Powering this great,
full-size Lincoln is its original 460 cubic inch, big-block V8
backed by its 3-speed, C6 Select-Shift automatic transmission. Both
the engine and transmission perform just as they should and pull
this Lincoln down the road with ease. The suspension handles the
road just as you would expect from a low-mile Lincoln such as this.
This Lincoln Continental Town Car is very well equipped with
factory options such as: power steering, power front disc brakes,
air-conditioning, 6-way power front seats, power windows,
intermittent wipers, tilt steering, cruise control (in-op), AM/FM
stereo with Quadrasonic 8-track, remote driver and passenger side
mirrors, and power locks. This excellent Lincoln is very well
documented by its original window sticker, owners manual, warranty
card, warranty book, tire warranty brochure, starting instructions,
multiple state inspection cards, temporary registration from 1976,
and 2 factory build sheets. If you are in the market for an
extremely original, collector grade Lincoln Continental that still
delivers that luxurious, "creme-puff" driving experience that these
cars were known for, then you will want to take a good look at this
one.
