Intro
This is a 1990 BMW 325i Convertible with 92,991 miles. It is a four-owner car with all the service and maintenance records since 2008 (starting with second owner) to present day. It is a garage kept car in stunning condition with all the original documentation.
Exterior
The current owner stated the exterior was all original when he purchased it. It has a clean Carfax with no accidents. He did note that the clear coat on the hood and the left side of the car lost its luster, so he had the hood, and the left side of the car repainted. The trunk and the right side of the vehicle are all original. The pinstripe on each side of the car was done by hand. The top was replaced in 2009.
Interior
The driver and passenger seats were re upholstered and the rear seat top and bottom was refurbished. There are no cracks in the dash and the rear seat side panels and door panels are in excellent condition. All of the tools and jack in the trunk are accounted for.
Mechanicals
All the service items on the engine have been done according to the BMW schedule. In addition to that, the air conditioning system had to be completely redone, condenser, evaporator lines, filter, dryer, compressor, all that was done probably about 2-3 years ago.
The timing belt and all the valve adjustments have been done. All the belts, all the hoses recently done and as well as the water pump about 1000 miles ago. The tune-up, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, that's all been done recently. Two brand new front calipers, the guibo flex coupling on the drive shaft, and rear differential seals have all been completed. Tires are about five years old, and they have about 7000 miles on them, so they are virtually new.
The previous owner was a BMW enthusiast. He actually builds BMW race cars, so he upgraded the vehicle with the evo short shifter, a new rack and pinion, all new springs and shocks, sway bars, and bushings so it has a sport suspension that is track rated. It has a modified rack and pinion steering in the car from a BMW Z3, so it handles a lot better than a standard BMW e30. He also installed a cat back stainless-steel exhaust.
Summary
This car was loved and cared for by a very meticulous owner. A recent Oil and filter change, New York State inspection, and new battery were just completed. The sale includes a rare windscreen, and BMW car cover. This 325i convertible won second place in the 2021 Westbury Concours d'elegance and is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
