Vehicle Description
Superformance MKIII SP00657 makes a bold statement clad in smooth,
silky ebony. With polished accents like the stunning roll bar and
silver ceramic side pipes, the roadster is a menacing car on the
road or track. The sports car even wears tasteful Cobra and 427
badges on nose and flanks.
SP00657 is powered by a 472 HP small block Windsor Ford that was
punched out to 393 c.i.d. and mated to a Tremec 5-Speed
transmission. The car rides on 15" wheels with blacked out centers
that contrast with a polished lip and spinner. The engine wears
Cobra valve covers and an air cleaner while safety features include
a fire extinguisher and driver side four point harness.
This Superformance MKIII has a Limited Slip Differential and Power
Disc 4 Piston Wilwood Brakes. Other options include the Bilstein
coil-over shocks that sharpen the car's handling.
SP00657 has a rare traditional wooden steering wheel along with
period correct Smiths Gauges with a Lucas Ammeter Gauge in the
period correct dash layout; to minimize weight, the glove box was
deleted. The doors are secured by original style carriage style
latches. All openings, such as engine bay, trunk, and cockpit are
wrapped around steel subframe for increased strength and support.
The dash is wrapped in leather, as are the steel framed seats that
have period correct webbing for comfort and elegant aesthetics.
Carpeting on the transmission tunnel was recently replaced.
The Superformance MKIII is a meticulously engineered and crafted
reproduction of the original, built under license from Carroll
Shelby Licensing Inc. No expense was spared in recreating the
legendary cars, ensuring an authentic sports car experience.
SP00657 is titled SB100 Smog Exemption in California with 72,150
miles and is available for $84,950.
