custom lowrider ready for gathering awards The 1958 Chevrolet
Impala is huge in the collector car market, but 60+ years later,
not all are the same. This one is a true one-of-a-kind with a
terrific full build with custom bodywork and custom paint even on
the Six-carb small block. The paint really showcases the best of
what lowrider style is all about. A Candy Apple Red Metallic is
always attractive, and it makes for a great canvas to lay down all
the custom artistry. The metallic red consumes the body and the
ghost scallops glides across as it burns its way down the hood and
sides. The scallops are ghostly outlined with pinstriping, and
that's far from the only accent lines. There's subtle custom
pinstriping, etched glass, metal itching on engine components all
around covering every corner of this hardtop, that you even have
color inserts in the full-length trim. There are more big custom
elements to this build that make sure it will always get people
talking. After all, the front end was given a full custom
fabrication between the 58 Buick grill and custom front bumper But
the build also has a lot of little extra details that combine to
make all the difference. The now-hallmark triple tail light package
has been upgraded with Cadillac-style bullets recessed into the
body. Those are stock wheels, including the spare with old school
look front 4 bar spinners. And your 3 exit faux lake pipes are a
fun touch, - your door poppers are now on the dummy spotlights or
in your pocket remote. The white custom interior with red piping
has a distinctive style on the door panels, seats, and headliner.
All the garnish molding are chromed. This was built to be a old
school true cruiser. There is an am/fm Blaupunkt cassette
(non-working)in the dash radio with two drive in movie theatre
speakers. This hardtop wants to make sure you lift the hood
everywhere you park this. That's why the custom engine bay was
designed to attract attention with all those polished pieces
radiating from within the engine bays smooth and body color inner
walls. Chrome radiator cover, chrome fan shroud chrome power
steering pump, Louvered chrome air cleaners, louvered and chromed
exhaust manifold covers, braided lines, and an under hood mirror.
And of course, the candy apple color returns. It's used on the
valve covers, carbs, fittings, brackets, oil pan, and even the
engine block! And while this has a cool one-of-a-kind style, this
also makes sure to be a true classic Impala. The 327 V-8 with
automatic transmission runs and drives good. Power steering helps
to give that effortless feeling and help cruise down the road. It
is not so low it will hit every bump and dip in the road. It has
the stock suspension. It needs the speedometer, gas gauge repaired.
The wheel cylinders also leak down after a period of time. This is
an older build, very cool ,1960's old school look, custom lowrider
cruiser that was built to be impressive to everyone. So if you love
a great '58 Chevy Impala like we do, don't miss this awesome
creation.
