For Sale: 1986 Ford Thunderbird in Hope Mills, North Carolina
Additonal photos available on I-95 Muscle's direct website.
The Thunderbird Turbo Coupe is not your every day run of the mill
Thunderbird. The Turbo Coupe was the most expensive
performance-oriented model of the Thunderbird available. The Turbo
Coupe, top-of-the-line model was special for several reasons. It
used a turbocharged 2.3 L four-cylinder engine with Ford's EEC-IV
electronic engine control system. Unlike the other models, the
Turbo Coupe came with a standard five-speed manual transmission.
Other improvements included a limited-slip differential, larger
tires and wheels, and a sportier interior complete with analog
gauges. The Turbo Coupe also locked in at the highest HP rating in
any of the thunderbirds these years. Aside from being really
awesome, these things are pretty rare. To top it off, this car only
has 106K miles. Financing is available and trades are welcome so
stop by and see this baby in person before it's gone.
