Vehicle Description
This custom 1961 Ford Galaxie Starliner was professionally built by
Goolsby Customs in Hueytown, Alabama. Power comes from a 435hp Ford
Performance Gen 2 Coyote 5.0-liter V8 crate engine mated to a
4L80-E 4-speed automatic transmission from Bowler Performance
Transmissions. A custom driveshaft transfers all the power to a
Gear-FX 9-inch Ford rear end packed with 3.50 gears with Strange
Engineering axles. The engine breathes through modified stock
exhaust manifolds matched to a custom 2-inch stainless steel
exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers. Stopping power is handled
by a Baer dual master cylinder with stainless steel lines
connecting to Baer Pro+ 6-piston calipers clamping on 14-inch
drilled and vented rotors. This custom sits on a Roadster Shop Fast
Track chassis and a fully boxed frame with custom cross members
fitted with Roadster Shops exclusive Fast Track IFS complete with
C6 Corvette spindles and Bilstein coilover shocks at all four
corners. The rear end is held in place with a Roadster Shop 4-link
set up and it rides on Forgeline RS-OE1 wheels wrapped with
Continental Extreme Contact tires. Other modernizations include
Vintage Air and power steering. Award winner (Best Ford in a Ford)
at the 50th Annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville,
Kentucky.
