Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Believed to be one-owner since new! 19k actual miles!
3.3L V6! Time-capsule, downsized luxury machine!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this 1990 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth
Avenue is in amazing condition! The mileage of 19,913 appears to be
correct, as per the AutoCheck history report, and the condition of
the car shows it. With hardly a defect to be found, the body on
this car is incredibly straight and solid. The only notable damage
is a ding in the roof, as seen in the photos, where it looks like
something fell on the car in a garage.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: It is no secret that domestic
manufacturers were cutting costs on everything in the 1990s,
especially their paint. The paint on this Chrysler appears to be
all original and is in amazing condition for the age of the car. It
still has a beautiful, glossy shine! This car is said to have been
stored indoors when not in use for many years, and the paint
condition certainly backs this up. Like the body, the most notable
paint defect is where the ding on the roof is.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is original gray cloth
that looks almost new! Wear is at an extreme minimum, and the
pillow-top seats are soft, squishy, and show well. There is one
small hole in the front passenger seat as shown in photos. The dash
plastic is in nice condition, as are all of the other interior
plastic items. Everything that normally cracks or fades in the sun
is in nice shape, evidence of the care this car has received over
the years. As seen in the photos, the tan plastics have yellowed a
little with age, however this is far more pronounced in the photos
than it is in person. Now you may be thinking "there's no way that
little FWD Chrysler is as comfortable as my old 1970 Newport was,"
and you'd be wrong. Sure, it isn't a big ol' land yacht, but the
interior of this car is shockingly spacious and the ride quality is
astonishing, especially for a FWD 1990s domestic car.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The fuel injected 3.3L V6 fires right up, and
runs smoothly. The 3.3L is a well-respected Chrysler engine, and is
known for its smooth operation and it's reliability over the 3.0L
Mitsubishi engine Chrysler liked to use at the time. Not to mention
how easy parts are to find for it! With more pep than you'd expect,
we can't think of a better engine choice for a downsized luxury
beauty like this.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The overall originality as well as
the super condition of this car! This is a car you just don't see
this nice these days.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Barring personal tastes, this
car would be very difficult to dislike.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Nothing but a new owner!
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Low-mileage cars like this can
be tough to make a decision on what to do with it. Drive it? Leave
it as-is and add it to a collection? The choice is yours! No matter
what you have in mind, this Chrysler is in great condition and is
being offered at an affordable price.
