Vehicle Description
This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Tribute delivers the ideal
mix of cool vintage style and the right upgrades - including the
small block V8. So as you look it all over, you'll soon see the
kind of classic coupe that was made to be enjoyed.
This hardtop makes an attractive first impression. The clean lines
show off the crisp styling that established the first-gen Chevelle
as a terrific Chevy. Chrome bumpers, a sporty hardtop, and a
well-done share of classic Marina Blue all make for a nice classic
that looks good out cruising. It has a nice upgraded Super Sport
style with clean sides, ribbed rockers, and SS badging. Plus, there
are a few subtle sporty upgrades with the bright dual exhaust tips,
and those classic Rally wheels are actually larger modern 17-inch
units.
The interior has the clean look of a good driver's car. You'll
appreciate classic details like the bright dash, the Delco AM radio
there for display, and the working dome light. You even have the
main components for air conditioning already in place (it will need
servicing to fully function again.). But what this interior does
best is speak directly to the driver. You have the classic SS-style
SS upgrade to front bucket seats. Plus, you have a B&M floor
shifter, sports steering wheel, auxiliary readouts, and a
column-mounted tach.
Under the hood is a nice upgrade. The mighty 350 cubic-inch small
block was still a few years away from the Chevelle when this coupe
went into production. But today we love them for their hardy nature
and good power. So it's great to see the upgrade done with the
right additions. This includes a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an
Edelbrock intake, an HEI distributor, and center-bolt valve covers.
Plus, the headers add power while they also contribute to the sweet
tune of the X-pipe dual exhaust and Pypes mufflers. It's an
all-around solid driver with power steering, power brakes, front
discs, and a three-speed automatic transmission. And don't forget
that the wheel upgrade also means you get to fit better modern
tires.
This is iconic vintage style mixed with the right driver-ready
upgrades. That makes for a great hardtop classic that you just know
you want to take out on the road. But if you want to hit the
streets tomorrow, you need to call today!
