This is a Charger 500 SE (special edition) with plenty of options.
Plenty of eye appeal too!
EXTERIOR: It will certainly catch people's attention. Chargers are
rarely even seen. This one having the sublime green paint and big
chrome Cragers, it really has the look. Overall good condition. The
body presents itself very well, big long panels are straight and
they fit nicely. It has turnsignals in the hood. The paint job is
presentable, not show quality. When people walk around the car they
will be impressed. It has a bumble bee stripe around the tail. The
vinyl top is very good. The front bumper is original with some
freckles. The rear bumper has been rechromed. The pop up gas cap,
door handles and luggage rack are original condition. The remote
mirror was replaced. Original glass. The grills and tail lights are
good, headlights flip open. 15 inch Cragers, extra wide in back
with meaty BFG tires.
INTERIOR: The SE features wood grain trim and deluxe door panels
with a map pocket. This one also features a 6 way adjustable bucket
seat, center console, power windows, rear defogger and an 8-track
player. The dash area is good original, not cracked, cut or
drilled. The carpet was replaced and has embroidered floormats. The
seats have good cushions and have been reupholstered. The headliner
was replaced and it fits tight. Door panels are original with a few
flaws. There is a modern stereo hidden in the glove box, 4 new
speakers in place of the originals. Aftermarket oil and water
pressure gauges below the dash. Interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 383 big block has a bit more kick. Weiand
aluminum intake, new Edelbrock 750 carb, Mallory distributor and
Patriot headers. Features include power steering and brakes. The
engine bay is straight, solid metal. It has new hood insulation.
The original fender tag is still attached and the core support
matches the car. The electrical has been restored. New wiring
harness, alternater, ignition module, coil, ballast resistor,
voltage regulator, starter relay, plug wires and boots.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: They did replace the metal trunk floor. It is
painted green but not meticulously. Under the trunk lid is painted
real nice. The trunk light works. It has a spare and the mat was
replaced.
UNDERSIDE: Rebuilt brakes. Disc in front with new calipers, new
wheel cylinders in back. New center link. It has air shocks in
back. Dual exhaust with Flow Master mufflers. Bottom of the motor
is clean. 727 Torqueflite auto trans. New chrome pan, rear trans
seal, speedo cable and gear, reverse light switch and wiring
harness. 8 3/4 rear with 4.10 gears, new pinion seals. The floors
and frame rails appear to be solid original.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
