1 of 697 Trans Ams built total in 1969! This one is #s matching and
documented by Pontiac Historical Services. It underwent a 1,500
hour body off frame restoration at a professional shop. I just
acquired it from a private collection deep in the Georgia
mountains.
EXTERIOR: The fit and finish is excellent. There is no rust or
damage. It's straight every where, all the panels and pieces fit
properly. It has functional ram air hood, fender air extractors and
a rear spoiler which is unique to just the 69 T/A. The Cameo white
paint with blue racing stripes is beautiful. It has a smooth and
glossy finish. I did not find any chips, cracks or scratches. The
front end bumpersand bezels fit real nice. The chrome has been
restored or replaced. Windshield was replaced. The rally ll wheels
are restored, it has correct lug nuts and center caps. Reproduction
Polyglass tires.
INTERIOR: Restored from carpet to headliner. Cushions were
replaced, upholstery fits tight. The dash area is restored, it's
not cut or broken. Mint condition deluxe wheel. Headliner fits
tight. Complete set of original seatbelts. The best part is the
4-speed sticking out of the floor!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s matching Ram Air lll 400. The engine bay is
restored to factory condition. The ram air system is complete.
Stock manifolds, valve covers, carb, distributor etc. It features
power steering and power brakes. It has reproduction hoses and
clamps. It has a Delco battery topper with spring clamp cables. All
the metal finishes are smooth and painted nicely.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean spatter painted metal. Under the trunk lid
and the jamb are painted glossy. Matching rally Il wheel and
reproduction Polyglass tire for a spare. Jack assembly is restored.
The mat, weatherstrip and decal were replaced.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame, every component was removed,
rebuilt and restored. It even has assembly line markings reapplied.
It has the ride and handling package.
The front end was completely rebuilt- the bushings, ball joints,
springs, shocks and steering components. The rear suspension also
got new bushings and shocks. The brake system was completely
restored, it has disc in front. The brake lines, hoses and e-brake
assembly were replaced. It has an authentic exhaust system with 2
mufflers and a transverse muffler. The fuel system was replaced.
Bottom of the motor and starter look clean. The vin # matching
Muncie M20 4-speed looks fresh.
35 years of Trans Am production and the 1969 stands out. It was a
very limited production, 1 year design. I'm in the business and
rarely see a real one. I am very excited to have this car in
inventory. Don't miss your chance to own an exciting
investment!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
