Vehicle Description
This 1986 GMC C1500 Restomod is the custom truck that thought of
everything. That means a sleek two-tone, fuel-injected V8 power, an
overdrive transmission, an adjustable air ride suspension,
four-wheel disc brakes, and a loaded A/C interior. And it all looks
terrific because this is a fresh build with less than 150 miles on
it since completion.
They took extra time and effort restoring this truck, and you can
really see it from the first impression. This was born a steel gray
pickup, which is quite attractive for a work-ready GMC, but this
one has transitioned into a true cruiser. So it was given a respray
where there's now a tastefully coordinating blue. We have a receipt
for over $1,200 invested in the paint, and it was laid down
carefully where the premium side trim and added pinstripe provide
clean dividing lines for the gray and blue. The billet grille,
clean headlights, deleted badging and dual exhaust tips give this a
great custom look without going overboard. We like this kind of
style because it allows you to have the look of a very clean
classic when you want to be incognito. There's even liner paint in
the bed to look ready for the chores. But when you drop the
adjustable air ride suspension nice and low, it also highlights
other details like the extra-wide rear tires that all fully
announce this is a street machine cruiser.
The interior continues the blue style, but what you're going to
first notice is the tan. The seat has been upgraded with a fresh
and clean vinyl that has a premium diamond stitch pattern. The door
panels and dash have even been given tan wood inserts so that the
upgraded seat is a coordained part of the interior. It's another
one of those details that signal this was a thoughtful build. This
is loaded with the best features like cold-blowing air
conditioning, power windows, power locks, tinted windows, and
AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth. There's even a full digital
readout for the adjustable air ride suspension. And because this
was built to be driven, you have an updated GMC steering wheel, a
tilt column, and upgraded Dakota Digital gauges.
Under the hood is a terrific power upgrade. The 5.3-liter Vortec V8
is a fuel-injected powerhouse that would be part of the backbone of
robustness earned on later GMCs. It has all the best accessories,
like an aluminum radiator, electric fans, an Optima red top
battery, and headers that add power and rumble to the dual exhaust.
You'll love looking at the undercarriage photos that show off a
full suspension upgrade that includes tubular front A-arms, a
four-link rear, and a Currie 9-inch rear diff. And this one is
great for driving near or far. That's because you have four-wheel
power disc brakes, power steering, and a four-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive that was rebuilt and installed less
than a year ago.
Complete with build receipts, this is the custom truck that is
fresh, powerful, comfortable, and all-around awesome. So you know
you need to be the one cruising this one all summer long. Call
