The Ford LTD II was briefly offered by Ford Motor Company from 1977
to 1979. The LTD II was introduced as Ford's, mid-size replacement
for the Ford Torino/Elite to compete against the Chrysler Cordoba
and the Chevrolet Malibu. This 1979 Ford LTD II is a collector
quality and very original example of the LTD II equipped with the
desirable Sports Appearance package. The late-70's luxury car
market is one that is on the rise and this LTD II provides that
large, luxury car driving experience while retaining its
sporty/muscle car styling thanks to the factory Sports Appearance
package. This LTD II is powered by its original 302 cubic inch V8
and backed by its C4, 3-speed automatic transmission. Both the
engine and transmission perform just as they should with no issue.
This Ford LTD II handles just like it should and provides an
extremely comfortable ride. The factory Black exterior is in
excellent shape and shines very well with only minor defects to
note. The body on this LTD II is extremely original with no signs
of body work anywhere. The exterior is complimented nicely by the
factory Sports Appearance package stripes, and factory correct,
Magnum-style wheels. The Dark Red cloth interior is in excellent
condition with few to no defects of note. This 1979 Ford LTD II is
nicely equipped with factory options such as: power steering, power
front disc brakes, air conditioning, variable speed wipers, dual
remote side mirrors, heater/defrost, AM/FM stereo, in-dash
tachometer, and cruise control (in-op). This 1979 Ford LTD II is
dripping in curb appeal and is an excellent, turn-key ready example
that is ready for a nice, long summer cruise to your local car show
or cruise-in.
