Vehicle Description
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad is a uniquely restored restomod
that keeps as much vintage charm as possible while also adding a
fuel-injected LT1 motor, an overdrive transmission, an upgraded
suspension, an A/C interior, and other modern amenities. It makes
for the right mix of vintage distinction and a truly fun
cruiser.
The Nomad was the most expensive Bel Air model in 1957. It makes
for a rare treat that always attracts enthusiasts. So since this is
a true classic, this example tries to stay as vintage as possible.
The two-tone Tropical Turquoise and India Ivory has a nice shine
mixed with an aged-in style that many people will just assume is
original. However, the front fenders have a newer and glossier
presentation that will be a catalyst to get you talking about all
the improvements up front (more on that in a moment.) The body has
the clean lines of a well-sorted and well-respected Nomad. And that
also means the brightwork is clean and quite complete. So you get
the iconic bright grille, the unique full-length trim, and shining
rear slats that show off the sporty rear hatch exclusive to the
Nomad. Of course, those modern US Mags polished alloys and the fuel
injection badge in the front are there to make sure that within
this classic style is the unmistakable appearance of a
restomod.
The interior follows the exterior's theme of classic style with the
right modern upgrades. It starts with the premium Bel Air
upholstery. It has that cool/classic style with an exterior
matching turquoise and detailed inserts with the textured black
cloth and the button-top presentation on the seatbacks. Matching
door panels, a good headliner, loop carpeting, and a smooth dash
make for a quality package. Finicky buyers may want to replace the
carpet in the cargo area, but that's really more about reminding
you that this Nomad has practical applications. And as a true
restomod, this maximizes its comfort and usefulness. That's why you
have upgrades like cold-blowing air conditioning, power windows,
LED lighting, and a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with Bluetooth.
A cruising classic means a better driving experience, and so you
have a sports steering wheel, a tilt column, and a full AutoMeter
gauge upgrade including dash-mounted tach.
This Chevy's engine bay is filled with a legendary motor, but one
much younger than most people will be expecting. It's a 5.7-liter
fuel-injected LT1 V8. It's built to be displayed with smooth inner
walls, tidy lines, and plenty of polished components. This was
built to be a great driver. So the V8 inhales deeper with a fresh
air intake, and it exhales with added power and authority through
the header-fed dual exhaust. There's even an oversized aluminum
radiator and electric fans that are designed to help keep this one
running cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping. As you
look underneath, you'll see more quality investments, like the
newer gas tank, Ford 9-inch rear, and a full Jim Myers front
subframe with suspension upgrade. The four-speed automatic
transmission with highway-friendly overdrive, power steering, power
brakes, front discs, and grippy modern tires make for the kind of
car that's great for everything from afternoon cruising to the
Power Tour.
This is the rare Nomad that celebrates classic style while also
delivering the best upgrades. This is an irresistible combo that
will go anywhere and turn heads everywhere. Call today!!!
