Vehicle Description
1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 has every rare option except
tissue dispenser and air conditioning. The vehicle is whisper quiet
with an idle of just 540 rpm. True air cooled Monza with dual carb
102 hp engine and power glide auto transmission. I purchased this
vehicle from a retired Shriner Pote' that lead parades from 1974
-1989. Only 43473 miles on the odometer. Never driven in the winter
and won over 30 trophies after repaint in 1978. Factory loaded with
Foxcraft rear wheel pants, headlight rock guards, luggage rack, T3
headlights with amber fog lamps, rear Venetian blind, fold down
rear jump seat, tinted glass, magnesium mags 13" covers, extra set
of Monza 900 hubcaps in trunk. EXTERIOR 8.5 / 10 shows great and
washes up well. Respray over 20 years ago still is very
presentable. All brightwork is polished and fitted to perfection.
Doors, trunk and hood open and close nicely. Matador red believe to
be single stage paint. No rust anywhere on this vehicle. INTERIOR
9.8/10 shows as NOS not a tear, fade or stain. Original red on red
with white headliner in mint condition. Trunk has original spackle
/ speckle finish with hook loop carpet. No leaks or odors.
SUSPENSION 9.5/10 underneath is satin black, all ground are rust
free, new brakes and master cylinder which stop to perfection. KYB
gas shocks on all four corners, ride is smooth but firm. DRIVELINE
9.7 /10 larger 102 hp engine has rebuilt fuel system including new
tank, sending unit , fuel lines , fuel filter, fuel pump rebuilt
and synced carbs from Wolf Florida. Cars runs to perfection and
shifts power glide smooth with new actuator valve. All fluids
changed, new valve cover gaskets and oil pan gasket. Leak free,
leak less, NO LEAKS. Added new heater hoses, battery along with
correct weave copper ground straps. All gauges and lights function
to perfection. A whisper quiet dual muffler system was added with
chrome tips. Finished May 1,2022 and ready to be driven coast to
coast
