Vehicle Description
The 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1 was an instant collectible that
combined impressive style with a fuel-injected 32-valve 305 hp V8.
These special edition cars were only available for a couple of
years, and on a very rare occasion, you will come across a
correctly preserved example. So you know to pay attention when you
realize this example has only averaged about 650 miles
annually.
Ford wanted to up its game even beyond the awesome GT, so they
resurrected the Mach 1 package. Available for only two years, the
2004 coupe is the preferred model to have because it's also the
Mustang's 40th anniversary. You're looking at one of only 1,316
that were finished in this very cool Azure Blue for '04. And really
this is the right color to have because it's such a great reminder
of the Grabber Blue from the muscle car days. It looks absolutely
fantastic with the body kit and striping package that's a modern
take on this muscle car legend. And we know your eyes immediately
locked on the cool shaker hood. The special 17-inch alloy wheels
are a great modern take on the classic Magnum 500s we all love. It
all has an attractive presentation because the low mileage is
reflected in the fewer signs of hitting the road than many of its
contemporaries.
Another place less use is welcomed is in the way it keeps the
interior looking and feeling fresh. And you'll even see thoughtful
preservation with the durable floor mats protecting the wrapped
carpet underneath. We especially appreciate less seat time because
leather seats need to look great when you show off the retro-cool
setup. The pattern, silver accents, and comfort weave inserts are
intended to recall those found in vintage Mustangs. The full
instrument panel has a satin silver surround and special gauges
reminiscent of the early mustangs. But beyond these cool touches,
these Mach 1s are desirable because you basically got every option
Ford could throw at a Mustang. This includes air conditioning,
power windows, power locks, cruise control, a power driver's seat,
and a powerful stereo with an in-dash CD changer. A modern classic
also means modern safety features such as dual airbags and
anti-lock brakes.
The Mach 1 was special for another reason: horsepower. This DOHC
32-valve 4.6-liter V8 was upgraded right from the factory. This
included a twin-bore 57mm throttle body, high-flow heads, a special
setup on the camshafts, and a performance exhaust manifold. The
result is a 305 horsepower juggernaut. Ford engineers also took the
time to add a host of suspension improvements front and rear
(including the springs, sway bars, and frame bracing) to make this
an enhanced driver for the enhanced performance V8. The five-speed
manual transmission is ideal for giving you maximum enjoyment and
maximum control. Plus, there's power steering, four-wheel power
disc brakes, and grippy Pirelli tires.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, maintenance
records, and a reproduction window sticker. You're looking at a
true collector-grade car that's also a modern coupe that's a blast
to enjoy on the road. So hurry and call today before it's gone
tomorrow!
