Selling my fully documented real 1965 Pontiac Tempest GTO coupe. Appraised at $30,800, appraisal and PHS documents in pics! Only 8,319 of this type of GTO made. Runs and drives great! The car was just mechanically restored, has a 4 speed manual trans with a new clutch and flywheel, A/C, new aluminum 3 row radiator, Pontiac 400 that was just gone over and freshened up. New distributor, oil pump, fuel pump and carb. Starts right up and runs great! New gas tank and fuel lines also. We replaced the 4 wheel drum brakes with 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes, booster, master cylinder, proportionating valve along with new brake lines. New shocks, new tires, new carpet and many other new interior items to lengthy to list. This car is mechanically sound and just needs a paint job.
GTO history: In 1964 and 1965 the GTO was an optional package on the Pontiac Tempest. The 1965 GTO VIN started with 237. The GTO became a separate model from 1966 to 1971 with VIN starting with 242. It became an optional package again for the 1972 and 1973 LeMans. In 1974 the GTO became an optional package again for the Ventura.
