Canyon State Classics brings to market a gorgeous 1991 Acura NSX
(NA1) finished in Berlina Black on Black Type-R interior. This
life-long California Acura was purchased new in early August of
1991 in SoCal where it remained until 2015. Soon after it made it's
way to the Bay area before recently relocating to AZ. This NSX
features some tasteful modifications and improvements along the way
to really get it dialed in as a wonderful driver's car. Whether
you're just entering the market or looking for a sorted "driver"
addition, this NSX checks either box. Don't miss out on your chance

This NSX is finished in its original color of Berlina Black, and
was very well cared for over it's life. The NSX is CARFAX verified
accident-free and we have inspected it to find zero signs of
previous panel replacement or heavy repair. We believe the car has
been repainted and it has just been through our detail department
for a full cut and buff. The roof and B pillars are wrapped in
matching gloss black. The car looks amazing thanks to our staff and
the array of real carbon body components: Shine GT lip, Vis Type R
hood, DF-R side vents and Seibon Type-R wing. Overall the paint and
body looks excellent for a car of this age and mileage. The car is
finished off with a set of 17/18" Work Emotion CR wheels wrapped in
Dunlop performance radials.
The interior of this NSX is shown in it's factory black scheme with
the addition of carbon fiber accents and red stitching throughout.
The factory NSX seats have been reupholstered with mesh centers to
emulate that of the second gen NSX-R seats. This is accommodated by
the matching shift boot and SOS carbon center console. Carbon inlay
can be noted on the doors, console, shift trim and dash. The red
stitching throughout is a great feature that breaks up the solid
black while complementing the carbon. All factory options inside
the work including the oem stereo (power antenna swapped for a
stubby, fixed unit), AC and cruise control. This interior shows
like it has half the miles on the odometer!
Mechanically this NSX is excellent shape and where it truly shines.
Our team has the privilege of driving and experiencing many
different cars here at CSC and this NA1 NSX is a treat to drive. It
has been setup incredibly well and corner balanced for an amazing,
planted feel. Suspension modifications include: BC coil overs with
10/8k swift springs, Dali 1" trophy front sway bar, Cedar Ridge end
links, front non-compliance clamps, SOS non-compliance rear
bushings/toe links, ride set to NSX-R height and STMPO front
chassis bar. Additionally, this NSX has the Gen 2 ABS upgrade- a
costly braking upgrade!
The dreaded "Snap ring" issue was addressed at 115k miles when the
transmission was pulled for rebuild by SOS- at that time the short
gear set was added (per prev owner). The JDM short gearset
(Japanese and European 5-speed NSX are equipped with a gearset that
offers tighter 2-4 gear ratios. The US gearset results in shift
points in the lower gears that places the resulting engine speed
below the optimal power point. The JDM short gears allow better
acceleration especially noticeable in the shift between 1st and 2nd
as the engine does not fall out of the useable powerband).
modification results in faster acceleration times and is
accompanied by 4.55 a Comptech final drive set. Additional
drivetrain modifications include: Downforce Air Intake System,
Comptech Carbon fiber intake box, Comptech ceramic coated headers,
Tiatec GTLW exhaust, SOS 275 clutch. Motor mounts, starter and
alternator were also replaced. Most recently, the NSX has been
treated to RDX injectors and corresponding chip.
