Vehicle Description
1988 CHEVROLET CAMARO Black IROC-Z Convertible
Why Is This Car Special
In 1988, the IROC-Z package proved popular and the package became
standard on Z28s. This resulted with two models remaining, the base
coupe and the IROC-Z. The Camaro we have here at Skyway Classics is
in a great color combo of triple black with its black paint, black
interior and black convertible top.
This 1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z/28 convertible has the style,
prowess, and has had a modified 350 cubic inch GM Performance Crate
Engine swap V8 power to make it instantly desirable. And because
this nicely coordinated total package is also so affordable, you
know it's a deal that won't wait for long.

Mechanical Specs
These third-generation Camaros are especially desirable for what's
under the hood. After all, we all love a classic that also includes
a fuel-injected V8, but this one has a bonus! It now has a modified
350 cubic inch 330 horse GM Performance Crate Engine swap for that
extra V8 power with a lot more accessories like Hooker headers,
performance fuel injection, performance cam, chrome Chevrolet logo
valve covers, and the factory ram air system and all sitting in a
clean and detailed engine compartment.
The 350 cubic-inch is known for being smooth on the highway and
quick off the stoplight and will power this IROC for long distances
with its manual transmission w/overdrive, cruise control, power
steering, power brakes, front discs, and sway bars front & rear,
and air conditioning.
Aftermarket chrome 5-spoke oversized mag wheels with performance
black wall tires are on our IROC-Z as well as the performance
exhaust.
Interior
The restored black interior makes for a super sinister black
combination and has a ton of receipts from Classic Industries on
all the parts that have been replaced which is way too many to list
here. When you come see this car you will see the books of receipts
we have on the interior, engine, and body parts that have been
replaced.
There are nice details, like the Z/28 IROC badging on the dash and
courtesy lights that greet you when you open the doors. The whole
package looks brand new and has all the right features like the
power front seat power windows, power locks, a tilt steering
column, factory air conditioning, upgraded Kenwood stereo system,
new black convertible top, factory black dash with the correct
gauge package, center console and the console shifted manual
shifter, black carpet, black factory sport steering wheel, and the
dash badges on the IROC still read "Z28" on top and "IROC-Z"
below.
Exterior
An IROC Z/28 Camaro is a true classic boulevard king. The
aggressive lines seem to get amplified even more when finished in a
sleek black. The Z-/28 hood, rocker body kit, dual exhaust tips,
and well-integrated rear spoiler are all part of this sporty
attraction.
And the whole package only gets better on a wind-in-your-hair
cruiser. Overall, this has the right driver-ready style and finish
because a drop-top Camaro is best enjoyed on the road.
The black roof looks good in place to give this Camaro a classic
triple-black style, but a convertible is made to be enjoyed the
most with the top off.
The IROC-Z is painted in a vibrant black all the way from the
bottom of the front spoiler to the back of the rear spoiler. It has
"IROC-Z" logos on the ground effects on the doors and on the rear
bumper.
Conclusion
These IROC-Z Camaros, like the Camaro we have here at Skyway
Classics are a collectable model that will not be returning anytime
soon, so you can bet your money that this restored 1988 Chevrolet
Camaro IROC Z with the modified 350 cubic inch crate engine we have
at Skyway Classics is a valuable car to purchase.
