Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 23rd year in the
classic and muscle car business. As the 1960's drew to a close,
Pontiac started to shift their focus on performance from the
intermediate-sized GTO to the new Firebird, or F-body, line. These
cars were able to match the straight-line acceleration of their
larger cousins with the added benefits of superior handling and
braking. So in 1969, Pontiac bundled their best engines with a firm
suspension and unique styling to create the Firebird Trans Am. From
a paltry 697 T/A's produced in 1969, the Trans Am would quickly
evolve into the most popular American performance car of the
1970's. This awe-inspiring 1969 Pontiac Firebird is a worthy
tribute to that first Trans Am, yet it is safer, faster, and more
comfortable than an original. Beneath the one-year-only T/A Ram Air
hood there lurks a brutal 474 ci Poncho from the pros at Butler
Performance. Starting with a 4-bolt 455 block (BCN485428), Butler
stuffed the beast with quality components including a roller cam,
aluminum heads, H-beam rods, a stroker crank, Holley fuel
injection, and too cool Ram Air intake and exhaust manifolds.
Additional features include power steering, power 4-wheel disc
brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, air conditioning, tilt
steering column, a powerful Pioneer sound system, Tremec TKO
5-speed manual transmission, 12-bolt rear end with Moser axles and
4.10 Posi gears, and custom 2-piece billet Bandit wheels wrapped
with aggressive rubber (225/45R17 F, 275/40R17 R). This is one
badass Pontiac, with smooth, reliable power anywhere above idle,
and a solid, buttoned-down chassis. If this top-shelf road warrior
floats your boat, call the team that can make your dream a reality.
