Vehicle Description
Sharp metallic paint, an aggressive stance, a strong suspension,
and an awesome stroker V8 make this 1976 Chevrolet Camaro quite a
nice coupe. And because this has a terrific sense of muscle car
power, it was also upgraded to the iconic split-bumper RS style to
give it the looks to match its prowess.
If you know your Camaro history, then you already know how unique
this one is. It has been upgraded to have the early second-gen
split-bumper Rally Sport front end. After all, it's one of the
largest icons of its era. So are the cowl hood and three-piece rear
spoiler. So this coupe really takes some extra time to get the
legend right. A deep chin spoiler, bright dual exhaust tips, sport
mirrors, and polished Cragar SS wheels are all there to get the
muscle car look right. And the paint sets off the style, too. The
maroon is as vibrant as red but with a deeper tone, and the
metallic element loves to pop in the sunshine.
The dark interior has a clean style that shows off the fresh style
of the new carpeting, door panels, upholstery, headliner, and other
fundamentals. It makes for quite an inviting atmosphere. So do
upgrades like the retro-style AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth, modern
speakers, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need
servicing to blow cold again.) But of course, a car like this
really focuses on the driving experience. That's why you have
high-back bucket seats, a center console in-between, an upgraded
sports steering wheel, and plenty of crisp upgraded readouts around
the factory gauge panel.
The reason for all the speedy style is immediately apparent when
you lift the hood. The valve covers and air grabber match the
exterior maroon, and so it's a great way to show the 383ci callout
for the motor. We even have a note saying this was a professional
build done in 2020. The motor specs also indicate an enhanced and
fortified setup that includes a Scat Steel crank, PM forged rods,
Speed Pro flat-top pistons, a Melling oil pump, a double roller
timing chain, King race bearings, 7/16 rocker studs, Comp Cams
roller cam, and aluminum heads. It's topped with a Brawler
four-barrel carburetor and polished RPM air-gap intake. It fires up
eagerly as the headers feed into an X-pipe dual exhaust. You'll
even spot the right components for a stout runner - everything from
subframe connectors to an aluminum radiator with electric fans. The
three-speed automatic transmission feeds into a newer Currie 9-inch
rear. And you also have power steering, power brakes, and front
discs.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and an SD card full of
restoration photos. This is a sleek, powerful, loaded, and
all-around well-done custom Camaro. So don't let it go into someone
else's garage, call today!
