The Fairlane was a very popular model offered by Ford Motor Company
from 1955 to 1970. In that time, Ford produced 7 generations of the
Ford Fairlane. This 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible is a nice
example of the 6th generation of the Ford Fairlane. This Ford
Fairlane is a factory Y-code car and is powered by its 390 cubic
inch, big-block V8 and backed by its C6, 3-speed automatic
transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they
should with no hesitations. Supplying that great, big-block sound
is the 390 cu. in. V8 breathing through the true dual exhaust
equipped with "glasspack" mufflers. The factory correct Red
exterior is in good shape with very little orange peel and only
minor imperfections to note. The body and floors are in very good
condition. The Red exterior is complimented nicely by the factory
Fairlane 500 trim and a set of aftermarket chrome wheels wrapped in
Mastercraft Avenger G/T rubber. This Fairlane's White convertible
top is in very good condition with no tears. The Black vinyl
interior is in good condition with some minor wear and age present.
This Ford Fairlane 500 convertible is nicely equipped with features
such as: power steering, remote driver side mirror, Pioneer
AM/FM/cassette stereo, power convertible top, heater/defroster and
variable speed wipers. This Ford Fairlane 500 is turn-key ready for
that Sunday afternoon drive and would present well at your local
cruise-in. So if you are in the market for a classic convertible
with big-block power and an awesome sound to back it up, then you
will want to take a close look at this 1968 Ford Fairlane 500
convertible.
