This 107 was purchased new on Dec 8th, 1988 at Cherry Hill Imports where it was maintained until 1996 when the car came to AZ. Since then it has been strictly garage kept and driven sparingly. The original interior and exterior of this car shows very well and the soft top has never needed replacement- a testament to how well the car was looked after! The body on the car is in beautiful condition and was extremely well maintained. The car is finished in its gorgeous original Mercedes color of Petrol Green and and has a gorgeous shine. The car is straight as an arrow and looks spectacular. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock and rust free as any collector car should be. The car is riding on the original 15" wheels with New Yokohamas. The windshield is original and like new with no chips. The German Cloth soft top is still in great condition with clean clear windows and no rips. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. The interior is in great shape all around. The dash and door panels are very nice with some very small cracks pictured above. The supple original leather seats are all in very good condition and look very nice with no rips or ware lines, which shows the quality of leather used in this car. This 107 comes with the optional kinder seat as well as the panel to delete the rear seat. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows and antenna also are fully functional. Music is crisp and clear and not overwhelming. The sound system definitely adds to the driving experience of this roadster. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. This interior is in immaculate condition. The trunk compartment is clean enough to eat from. The spare tire compartment is clean as a whistle and the original spare tire is present. Original jack is in place and the tool kit is even still in the car. Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It drives as good now as the day it rolled of the lot. The V8 engine is surprisingly quick and responsive. Cherry Hill Imports sold the car new and serviced it up until the mid 90's or just shy of 60k miles. This is documented in the stamped maintenance booklet. The previous owner had a complete AC system overhaul at 72k miles. Most recently, the car has been through our shop for an oil service, tie rods, steering damper and alignment. This thing is ready to start enjoying for many more miles! All in all, this is one nice SL that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners. This Mercedes is a fantastic car for the price and includes every option offered in this car.
