Vehicle Description
This 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 has been restored, re-powered
and custom-built with adventure in mind. The vintage FJ60 looks are
paired with a modern drivetrain including a new GM 6.2-liter LS3
E-ROD crate engine with 420 horsepower mated to an NV4500 5-speed
manual transmission. The 4x4 performance is delivered through a
rugged and reliable Atlas 2 transfer case. An ARB compressor with a
one-gallon tank activates the front and rear Yukon Lockers and the
rear end has a 4.56 gear ratio. Additionally, it is equipped with a
FJ80 front suspension swap done by Trail Tailor with FJ80 front
axle and coilover conversion with coil brackets, brake lines,
panhards, TD coils and shocks and an alignment. The rear has a
heavy-duty Diamond Axle with 6-lug Full Float housing ends, disc
brakes and parking brakes. This FJ60 features a Man-a-Fre 4-inch
lift kit front and back with added leaf springs in the rear to
handle the extra weight. It rides on Method wheels wrapped with
35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The exterior is finished
in Quicksand Tan with Icon side mirrors, Icon 4x4 bumper with
integrated 10-S Zenon Warn winch with Factor 55 fairlead and
FlatLink as well as Baja lights all around with two squadron lights
and roof rack light bar facing front and two smaller lights to aid
with rear visibility. It also has a Man-a-Fre rear bumper with tire
carrier and ladder to access the K-9 roof rack which also houses a
shovel and ax. The interior has been re-upholstered, re-carpeted,
and sound deadening material applied to the floorboards. The
Corbeau black leather seats have lumbar support, the headliner is
leather and the dash features modern Dakota Digital gauges. It also
has power windows, a center console for extra storage with an added
top panel housing a Ham Radio, SPOD system and toggle switch
controllers as well as a National Luna battery indicator. A Xantrex
Prowatt Inverter SW 1000W is installed under the passenger seat
with on/off control on the console. The Sony smartphone-compatible
stereo feeds Memphis speakers and a subwoofer and has a large
display for the backup camera. The rear utility area has been
upgraded to a Goose Gear kitchen with a National Luna Fridge and a
2-burner Cook Partner JK Stove, both of which slide out. All the
cabinetry was installed and made to specs by Goose Gear. In the
back of rig, there's an additional LCD touch screen SPOD
controller. The cargo and cooking areas are lit with two small LEDs
