Vehicle Description
There were Four generations of Travelalls built by International
beginning in 1953 and ending in 1975 as they were starting to phase
out of light truck manufacturing. The Travelall was the first
competitor to the Chevrolet Suburban and one of the very first
modern people carriers or now known as a Full-Size sport utility
vehicle. The fourth and final generation of the Travelall was 1969
through 1975 and would be offered in three different payloads with
a 4WD option being offered on the medium and Heavy duty trucks, the
1100 and 1200 series. What we have here is a pretty cool 1210 4x4
with three rows of seats that was restored sometime ago with what I
would classify as OK paint and body-work. There is a few places of
surface rust reappearing but the underside appears to be in very
good condition with solid floors and frame. The truck has just had
a radiator re-seal and fuel pump. This International starts real
nicely, instantly idyles and has plenty of power going down the
road. This is a nice driver but could be taken to the next level if
so desired. The back window still operates well and you can take
the whole family on a cruise. You don't see too many Travelalls to
begin with let alone the 1-ton 4x4 chassis. This thing gets all the
looks while out and about.
