Starting with a clean older restoration on an unhit 62 this is a
very well done build using only the best materials and components
to make a great driving Corvette restomod.
From the outward appearance this 62 is relatively stock looking as
this is the trend with most solid axle owners wishing for the
classic looks but with the drivability of a well done restomod.
The Fast Track chassis is built on 10-gauge fully boxed frame rails
and uses the factory body mount locations, core support and bumper
mounts. As far as the suspension goes, it's built with Z06 front
spindles and uses large diameter 1 5/8-inch lower control arms and
1 1/4-inch upper control arms in its construction. RideTech
adjustable coilovers, a stout Ford 9-inch with 3.73 gears and a
four-link out back. For stopping power there are Wilwood disc
brakes all round; six-piston caliper fronts and four-piston rears
do the pinching on this wild ride. A power assist unit was added by
County Corvette to make the car more user friendly.
While this was in process of this build one notable change was
going with an earlier '58 issue grille, Iridium Silver BASF
Glasurit paint. high end custom leather interior done to replicate
and refine the OEM look. The modern vibrant hue looks incredible on
this vintage-styled ride.
The 430 HP LS3 coupled to a 4l65E performance transmission propels
this car with some real excitement.
As with all the well done restomods, you can have the best of both
worlds and this car is no exception.
It has been fully sorted out by our shop with some additions to
make it reliable and easy to drive.
Not to be compared to a home built amature job, this is a car that
you can enjoy today for less than the cost of the build!
