hardtop here that is a meticulously done, period correct, concourse
body off frame restoration by Paul Bradley, Franksville, Wisconsin.
Every part, nut and bolt were replaced or refurbished. Paul Bradley
is a specialist for 409 engine cars. The current owner has owned
the car for 30 years. He believes he is the 4th owner of this rust
free California car. It has been driven approximately 1100 miles
since restored and has won many major awards including Super Chevy

Mechanical 409 cubic inch V-8 "W" engine with stamping number
K156919 T1012QB and casting number 3830814 completely rebuilt to
factory specifications by Borchardt Speed Automotive. The cylinder
heads are both casting #3814690 HP 2.19"/ 1.72" Valves. Exhaust
manifolds #3822925 Lt. #3822926 Rt. HP rear dump design. These rare
exhaust manifolds are valued at $1,000.00 each. The dual quad
intake manifold is casting #3814881 with dual quad Edelbrock 1404
500 CFM carbs. The cam is a Crane solid lifter Mark VI 425 HP 409
with Crane valve train components. The block was bored & honed .040
over with new pistons installed. It has a Pertronix Flame-Thrower
Distributor, coil, & period correct dated Packard spark plug
wiring, for stock look for judging. The radiator is the correct 4
core and the fuel line is the larger 3/8" line used with 409
engines. The transmission is a rebuilt 4 speed Muncie M22 with
Hurst shifter linkage hidden under the floor and a stock period
correct shifter handle/knob passing thru the 4 Speed Shifter
Console. The rear axle is a rebuilt stock Positraction 3.70:1 "P"
case with correct Positraction gear oil tag. The car has a 1962
stock braking system and power steering. Interior An entire stock
Red Super Sport bucket seat interior, carpeting, headliner, and
center console was installed replacing the original stock black
Super Sport interior. The interior floors and ceiling were
insulated with foil covered insulation. The dash and steering
column were painted to match, along with installing a correct
Impala Red steering wheel. All stock Super Sport trim and grab
handle completes the interior along with the correct 4 Speed
Shifter Console. The dash has 2 speed wipers/washers, heat/defrost,
clock, factory AM radio, and the glove box contains the Original
Owner's Manual. An operational restored original factory correct
Sun Tachometer/sending unit with correct red line limits adorns the
steering column and is correctly mounted to the column with screws
just as these cars came from the factory in 1962. The Sun sending
unit with correct wiring harness is mounted under the hood on left
wheel well, and is equipped with transistors instead of the old
Mallory batteries discreetly hidden inside the unit. Exterior This
Ermine White Impala Super Sport retains all of its original laser
straight rust free sheet metal. It did not require any rust repair,
interior floor or trunk floor replacement. The base coat/clear coat
paint
