For Sale: 1965 Shelby Cobra in Poway, California

Vehicle Description

Authentic Shelby Cobra 427 SC (CSX4060). This is an exceptional car and is the 50th continuation car produced by Shelby American - the 1st was CSX4011. I am the original owner and have all documentation, including the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (with Carrol Shelby's original signature) and the original correspondence and promotion package from 1996. Original paint and tires with 4503 original miles. This car was built to the exact specs as the 1965 CSX3000 SC cars. The body is fiberglass (not aluminum),  The motor is a factory 1965 cast iron Ford 427 FE with 428 crankshaft. Tons of internal upgrades that will be shared upon request. Transmission is a Ford, 4-speed top-loader with correct Lakewood scatter shield bellhousing. Single, 850 DP Holley carburetor with aluminum air plenum. Girling, quick change brakes (with brake coolers at all wheels),  Correct Halibrand style (Trigo), pin drive wheels, Lucas electrical, Smiths gauges, even the correct 42 gallon aluminum fuel tank was included. Later CSX continuation cars have several changes that have departed from the originals and were not manufactured directly by Shelby American. If parked next to an original 1965 SC, you can't tell which is a continuation.  Clear title, registered in California as a 1965 Ford with original CSX4060 VIN from Shelby American.
