Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Classic 1950s Chevy 3100! A true piece of Americana!
Nice cruiser or light duty hauler!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this Silverado is straight and solid.
Being that it was clearly a well-restored truck in the past, it is
no surprise that it is as straight as it is! As seen in the photos,
there is some typical corrosion on exposed areas underneath, but
nothing to stop you from driving it as-is. The chrome items are all
present and in good repair, however they are showing light
oxidation. This is a coastal vehicle, so some normal corrosion and
oxidation is to be expected even on a restored vehicle.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Based on the style of the mild
modifications performed on this truck, it was probably built around
20 years ago. That being said, the paint still shows very well and
is simply a classic shade of green. This puppy is sure to turn
heads just about anywhere! Despite having normal signs of wear,
such as minor chips and scratches, the paint still shines, although
a professional detail and buff job would go a long way towards
making this feel like a freshly restored truck again!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Despite having had some minor
modifications performed, such as a radio and a more modern GM
steering column, the interior was kept largely original style and
shows nicely. The seat material is in good shape, as are the door
panels. The interior is a testament to the restoration quality of
this truck, as it has been unaffected by the elements and time.
Overall, the interior is in nice shape, and the A/C even blows
cold! Other upgraded items include a full set of aftermarket gauges
and an aftermarket heater.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a carbureted Chevrolet 350V8
hooked up to a 700R4 automatic transmission-that's right, this
truck has overdrive! If you've ever found yourself wanting to
install a bigger engine and a better transmission in an old GM car
or truck, then you already know that this is one of the best
combinations that doesn't stray far from the truck's origins. The
350 runs great and the 700R4 shifts smoothly. This is a truck that
was built to be drive and enjoyed, without losing most of its
original charm!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: This is a nostalgic truck sure to
bring you back to 'Day Two' when these trucks done up this way
prowled the streets.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you're looking for a 100%
original show truck, this probably isn't it.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The fuel gauge and heater are not currently
operational, though the A/C is.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone who wants a cool mild
custom mid-year Chevy 3100! The buyer for this truck is someone
looking for something unique to cruise around town in.
