Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Nice, affordable squarebody ready to put in work! Same
owner 20+ years! Long bed with ice-cold A/C! Cragar wheels and
power front disc brakes!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this Silverado is nice and solid, and
although it has clearly been used over the years, it seems to have
escaped the violent abuse so many of these trucks suffered. There
are some minor dings here and there, as expected on any truck this
age that has been used as a truck, but most of these defects are in
the bed and on the tailgate.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This truck was repainted almost 20 years
ago in a nice two tone red and silver, and that really makes this
old girl pop! Despite showing some sun fading on the hood and roof,
the paint still has a nice shine to it. Some minor scratches are to
be expected, but this paint is more than presentable for anyone
looking for a solid old truck to run around town in!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior condition is perhaps the
most pleasantly surprising aspect of this truck. If you've ever
owned a squarebody before, you know how these interiors begin to
look over time. The interior of this truck appears to be mostly
original parts, and the interior condition more than anything shows
what kind of lifestyle this puppy has been living! Although there
is some fading on the seat, as red interiors like to do over time,
the lack of specific damages and wear tells a story.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a 350 V8 that has been in
the truck for at least the last 20 years. The engine remains mostly
factory stock, but it has a 4-bbl carburetor and aluminum intake in
addition to power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. The
exhaust gives this truck a little bit of rumble, but isn't too loud
and is certainly adequate for daily use. Sitting on a nice set of
Cragar wheels, this truck is looking great in a 'Day Two' kind of
way!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: This is a good, honest, Chevrolet
pickup truck that has been kept up and taken care of.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: The faded paint doesn't
necessarily look bad, but it takes away from the beauty that might
be. Additionally, this truck was involved in a fender bender in
2000.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? We recommend a new set of tires.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone who has been seeking a
clean and solid squarebody at a fair price should absolutely
consider this truck.
