The Ford Torino was originally introduced in 1968 as an upscaled
offering of the Ford Fairlane and was a popular option for buyers
looking for a full-size Ford with great options. Part of what made
the Torino so popular were the high-performance variants Ford
offered including the Torino GT and the very desirable Torino
Cobra. This 1969 Ford Torino Cobra is a very nice, driver quality
example of the highest performance variant of the Ford Torino. This
1969 Ford Torino Cobra is an original, Q-code 428-4V Cobra Jet and
is still powered by its correct big-block, 428 cubic inch Cobra Jet
V8 and backed by its C6, 3-speed automatic transmission. Both the
engine and transmission perform just as they should and have no
problem setting the driver and passenger back in their seats during
sporty driving. The 428 cubic inch V8 does benefit from some mild,
bolt-on modifications including: an Edelbrock intake manifold,
Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and a set of long tube headers. This
Torino Cobra delivers a great, big-block V8 sound thanks to the
engine breathing through a set of Dynomax mufflers. This great
muscle car is extremely solid on the road and handles the curves
just as it should. The correct, Candy Apple Red exterior shines
very well and is in very nice shape with only minor defects to
note. The exterior of this great Torino is complimented nicely by
its correct 428/Cobra badges and trim, as well as its correct steel
wheels with beauty rings and hub caps. The Black vinyl interior
shows very nice with only minor warping in the door panels. The
front bucket seats have been recovered and are in excellent
condition with plenty of padding. This Torino Cobra is nicely
equipped with options such as: power steering, power front disc
brakes, Retrosound digital AM/FM stereo with Aux, B&M Quick
Silver automatic floor shifter, factory in-dash tachometer, rear
seat speakers, and variable speed wipers. If you are in the market
for a turn-key ready muscle car that would present well at your
local cruise-in and will put a smile on your face driving there,
then you will want to take a close look at this great 1969 Ford
Torino Cobra.
