Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1985 El Camino Choo Choo edition which is in fantastic overall condition with low actual miles of 86,778. This El Camino has been treated to a professional custom repaint and shows very well and is a real attention getter. This Choo Choo was used primarily for car shows and was owned by the same couple for many years. It is 1 of approximately 2200 Choo Choo El Camino's which were converted in Tennessee from 1983-1987. This El Camino features custom paint with new decals, specific trim and Choo Choo appointments, a stunningly beautiful original interior, and the original drive line. This El Camino is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the truck or under the truck, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. Its believed that this El Camino has never had any body work done and is all original sheet metal. This El Camino is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Black/Burgundy over Burgundy Cloth interior. Several original dealer manuals and brochures are included with the sale and come in the original book folder.
Exterior
The Black custom exterior is in terrific overall condition. This El Camino has a professional custom paint job which is believed to be around 10 years old. The paint is in great overall condition and shows very well and gets tons of attention. There are no signs of visible rust anywhere around the truck or under the truck. This El Camino is 1 of the 2200 which were converted into Choo Choo special editions. Unique Choo Choo front bumper, trim, moldings, emblems and decals were added as part of the package. Both bumpers are in great overall condition and the rear bumper was re chromed. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires are new and have full tread left and are sized 245/60/14 and the wheels are in excellent shape and look perfect on the truck. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition. The rear cargo compartment and spare tire storage area is very solid and clean with the spare tire, jack, with the original floor mat. It appears that the spare tire has never been removed from its factory position. The underside of this El Camino is honest and extremely solid and rust free, and has not had any touch ups. The rear suspension has been upgraded with new air shocks, new springs, and an added rear sway bar. The rear tail gate works well and the Gaylord hard toneau cover looks great and the shocks keep it up when needed. There are two locks in the hard top as well to keep your belongings safe while in the truck bed.
Interior
The Burgundy Cloth interior of this El Camino is original and in superb condition. The seat covers are factory original and in near perfect condition for their age with no major wear, stains, or seam splits. The carpet is original and looks great with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the gauges are crisp and clear. The digital AM/FM cassette stereo works great in this El Camino and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in like new condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter and clock. The horn, stereo, wipers, power windows, and blower motor all work. This El Camino has factory air conditioning and and all the factory AC components look to remain in tact.
Mechanical
This El Camino is in excellent mechanical condition with only 86,778 actual miles and drives very well. We have driven this El Camino several times and it drives nicely, it does not run hot, rides very tight, and is a true joy to drive. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car and it has no rattles or annoying noises. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The exhaust was upgraded with a performance muffler and has a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. sThis El Camino has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and the overall condition of the truck and the way it runs and drives validates that. This Choo Choo was loved by its long time owners and proudly shown off at numerous car shows over the years. .
