iconic cars of the muscle car era is the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
which debuted with a toned body, more powerful engines and a huge
array of available options. Perhaps the reason why some Camaro fans
consider the 1969 models to be the best-ever version of the GM
F-body. With nearly a quarter million sport coupes and convertibles
built in that one-year body style, and an amazing array of
restoration and performance parts at reasonable prices, it is no
wonder the 1969 Camaro remains popular with enthusiasts today. The
Camaro Z/28 featured here is a text book example of the staying
power of the Chevrolet pony car that is the Heartbeat of American
Muscle. This car has undergone a complete restoration with all the
right Day 2 resto-mods added while maintaining all the classic
styling that is the legacy of this one year only body style of the
1st generation Camaros. The beautiful Dark Cherry paint is
flawlessly applied over professional bodywork. As you can see in
the photos the finish has been polished to a high luster and the
metal-flake is evenly applied with no muddling. The Rally Stripes
only further compliment the quality paint work, and the lines are
clean and crisp. Body fit and alignment is excellent, and the
bumper chrome is fully restored as is all the stainless and trim.
To say this car is eye catching is an understatement! The
California stance of this car further enhances the menacing look of
this street terror. It rides on 15 classic Cragar S/S chrome wheels
wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial tires with black walls out and the
rear leaf springs have been shackled to give the rear-end a slight
lift as was the tradition on the streets in the 70's and is still a
classic look today. The suspension otherwise remains stock and has
been restored and detailed. It also features power front disc
brakes and drums out back with power assisted steering. There have
been some rear floor pans patches made, and otherwise the
floorboards and trunk are clean and rust free. The black interior
has been fully restored with all new upholstery, carpet and
headliner. Other features include factory console with the optional
gauge package and in dash tachometer and gears selection is handled
by a Hurst competition shifter. Of course, you can not cruise with
out your favorite music and the sound system has been upgraded with
a Kenwood AM/FM/CD with aux input pushing 50W of power to 6X9 3-way
rear speakers. Under the hood beats a 355cid small block Chevrolet
V8 producing 450 horsepower that features all the classic
aftermarket under hood upgrades. A K&N open element air cleaner
sits a top an Edelbrock 4bbl carburetor with electric choke. The
air/fuel mixture is fired by a GM High Energy Ignition (HEI)
electronic ignition augmented with Accel Super Coil, and Accel 8mm
spark plug wires. Burnt gases flow through stainless steel headers
into 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust pipes with Flowmaster that
accentuates the ominous idle of this fierce small block. Want more
roar? Well simply open the electric exhaust cutouts that bypass the
mufflers for full on open headers mode. All this classic power is
passed through a Muncie 4-speed and planted to street through a GM
12-bolt rearend. Running this classic Camaro through the gears and
letting that massaged motor breath is what driving American Muscle
is all about. This car is turn key and ready to hit the streets,
cruise-in or show circuit simply amaze. Please call if you are
