Vehicle Description
Finished in Sonic Silver with matte black stripes, this 1969 Ford
Mustang Mach I SCJ Sportsroof factory "R" code underwent a
no-expense-spared nut-and-bolt full rotisserie restoration that was
completed in 2020. During the restoration, the chassis, body, as
well as the entire date-code-correct drivetrain, were
professionally rebuilt to new specifications. It is powered by the
original 7.0-liter Super Cobra Jet engine backed by a C6 automatic
transmission. Optioned from the factory with an "R" code Cobra Jet
Ram Air Shaker hood, Drag Pack, "V" Code 3.91 Traction-Lok rear
axle and tachometer. Modernized features include new QA-1
adjustable front coilovers, QA-1 adjustable rear shocks, power
brakes, power steering, Wilwood front and rear performance disc
brakes, Holley quick fuel carburetor, and a Lunati FE specification
hydraulic roller cam, hydraulic lifters and roller valvetrain.
Easing into the driver's seat, the interior features hand-sewn
leather upholstery, black carpet and a suede headliner as well as
the original wood rim-blow steering wheel, center console shifter,
fully restored factory gauges and dash clock. It rides on American
Racing Shelby racing wheels wrapped in new Uni-Royal tires. This
Mach 1 was special ordered on 06/05/69 with a new era option of the
AM/FM radio, combined with the other factory options (per its Marti
Report), it is a documented one-of-one production vehicle for the
model year 1969. Includes an extensive restoration diary
documenting the restoration.
