There is something to be said of a nicely maintained and original
classic sports car. That is exactly what we have here in this
excellent, 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Type-LT. This Camaro Type-LT is
largely unrestored with the exception of a repaint sometime in the
1990's back to its original Carmine Red. The Carmine Red exterior
is in excellent condition with no orange peel showing and only a
few minor defects to note. The excellent exterior is nicely
complimented by a set of Black vinyl racing stripes, factory
Type-LT badging and a set of Chevrolet rally wheels wrapped in
BFGoodrich Radial T/A rubber. The original Carmine Red interior is
very original and in very nice condition with the only defects
being two small splits starting in the driver seat and the original
Carmine Red carpet is showing some fade. Powering this great Camaro
is its numbers matching, 350 cubic inch, small-block V8 backed by
its numbers matching, Turbo Hydramatic 350, 3-speed automatic
transmission. Both the engine and transmission have been rebuilt
and perform just as they should with no hesitations. Transferring
power to the rear tires is the Camaro's 10-bolt rear end. This
Camaro delivers a great V8 sound thanks to the small block V8
breathing through a set of long-tube headers feeding the dual
exhaust system flowing through Flowmaster mufflers. This Camaro
Type-LT is very nicely optioned with features such as: factory air
conditioning, power steering, power brakes, factory tachometer,
remote driver side mirror, variable speed wipers and AM/FM/Cassette
stereo. If you are in the market for a second gen Camaro that will
stand out from the sea of Z-28's, but is just as nicely optioned as
one. Then you will want to take a close look at this excellent
example of a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Type-LT.
