Vehicle Description
1972 Chevrolet C10 Pickup
To compete directly with the Ford F-series and the Dodge D-series,
Chevrolet introduced their C/K series of pickups. They were
produced from 1960 to 2002 and were marketed under both Chevrolet
and GMC. While mostly being Pickups they also served as the base of
the full size SUV line. The second generation starting in 1967 was
known as the "Action Line" version due to Chevrolet wanting to have
a more utilitarian vehicle for work and farm use while also
incorporating optional comfort features like automatic
transmissions, radios, and carpeting. They retained the same drop
center ladder frame of the previous generation but were completely
redesign from the ground up with an entirely new look to improve
its capability as a multi use vehicle. This proved to be an
extremely popular run for Chevrolet among classic car/truck
enthusiasts and their desirability continues to grow even more in
recent years. They looked pretty similar for the first part of the
generation but in 1971 there was a mid year revision with the new
egg crate grill as well as some other upgraded features. This 1972
was the last year for the second generation so received all the
upgrades incorporated throughout their run. This beautiful C10 is
in great condition and was frame off professionally restored in
2013. The result is a great looking classic pickup truck that is
very solid and a great driver. Only Chevrolet products were used
throughout its construction and all were either brand new or
rebuilt. The stepside body rust free and straight. It was repainted
in a very beautiful PPG #3989 Dark Garnet Red that is in great
condition. The color was originally put on late 50's Cadillacs and
really suits the truck nicely. The original style chrome bumpers
have a great shine as does the side mirrors, trim, etc. The glass
is all in good shape and the rear window is the type that slides
open. One of the coolest features we love on any vintage pickup is
the wood bed and this one was all redone. It also comes with a set
of custom made wood side slats with American Flag air brushing. The
15 inch American Racing wheels with Silver centers look good on it
and have Coker redline tires.

Under the cowl induction hood sits a fresh crate 350 V8 motor. It
has approximately 2,600 miles on it since the restoration was
completed. It is fitted with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor,
blacked out valve covers, and an Edelbrock air cleaner. There
aren't any heating issues and it has a new 4 core radiator. The
truck sounds excellent with a new cat-back dual exhaust system. The
Turbo 350 automatic transmission has been rebuilt and shifts
smoothly. It sends power back to the 12 bolt rear end. The power
brakes on the car have all been redone with new discs up front and
a new CPP master cylinder. The suspension has also been completely
rebuilt and the truck lowered 2 inches in front and 2.5 inches in
rear. That along with features like power steering, power brakes
and Old Air AC make it a very comfortable truck to drive. When the
AC was installed it was a modern system using R134a making it easy
to service and recharge as needed.
The interior of the truck was redone during the restoration by a
professional upholstery shop in Fort Worth, TX. It features Black
carpeting and Burgundy cloth upholstery on the split bench seat,
door panels, and headliner. Three point seat belts were added for
driver and passenger for additional safety. The dash is painted to
match the body and topped with a Black dash pad. It has a mostly
original layout with a working AM/FM radio and all stock style
working gauges. Other nice features include power windows and power
door locks which are all functioning properly.
This is a very well done truck and being fully restored it is ready
for a new home. Just after completion the pickup passed a National
Street Rod Associate Inspection with flying colors. That insures
that it was set up to be road worthy and everything is working.
This is an opportunity to take advantage of someone else's hard
work, labor, dollars, and time investment because you couldn't redo
another one for this asking price.
Take it home for $34,500.00!
