dot com) This is just another example of the many great trucks in
stock here at Garage Kept Motors. This 1965 Ford F-100 is what
makes vintage trucks so cool to own. Old trucks like this just have
a soul you don't find in new trucks today. This pick-up is
essentially all stock and driving it captures all the essence that
owning and driving a classic truck brings. This truck presents very
well and can be shown with pride at any car show or cruise in, but
if you want to run down to the hardware or the nursery it will be
just fine too. Where this truck really shines is if you work in an
office (be it in town or at home!) this truck is the vessel to help
you unwind in your favorite jeans and t-shirt cruising down a back
country road. The truck features a solid body and frame that one
would expect from a truck that has spent it's life in Oklahoma. It
has been cosmetically restored and the paint is well applied over
straight body work and shines with a rich luster. All the
brightwork and stainless is present and polished to look like new.
Underneath you can see the floorboards are solid with no rust
through. The chassis is solid with no indications of accident or
rust repair. While the undercarriage is not restored, the
suspension and brakes are well maintained and ready to roll. The
original hub cups are present on the steel wheels painted body
color and wrapped in radial tires with thin white lines. Inside the
cab, the interior has been lightly restored with new carpet and
seat upholstery. The dash remains stock with the addition of an oil
pressure gauge and voltmeter to help monitor the engine vitals and
the odometer reads 11,000 miles. The radio has been upgraded to a
Pioneer AM/FM/CD Tuner with Bluetooth but truly one of the coolest
features of this truck is the column shifted manual transmission,
or three-on-the-tree. You just don't see column shifted manuals
anymore. The three-speed manual transfers the power from the stock
352 V8 under the hood. The engine compartment has been lightly
detailed and is well maintained. The exhaust has been upgraded with
headers that flow through 2 exhaust into stock style mufflers with
full tailpipes. This truck has a great vintage vibe, and in this
technology saturated world, this truck is just the break we need
from all that automation! There is no power steering, no power
brakes, it's manual shifted, and even the choke is manual! This
truck is pure driving at its best because you actually drive it and
that is just the escape we need in this electronics world. Please
call if you are interested in the vehicle or send us an email with
any specific questions.
