Vehicle Description
This 1954 Chevrolet 3600 Tow Truck is a true classic design with
all the best upgrades to keep it a useful machine. This includes
cool upgrades to the inline-six, a dually setup, and a true full
tow package. So no matter if you just love industrial-grade cool or
want a unique business vehicle, this one is going to get you
noticed.
This truck offers just the right combination of utility, beauty,
and functionality. The dark green paint fits well with the 1950s,
but it also has a modern gloss and shine. It's part of a fit and
finish that goes beyond driver-quality without losing the
driver-ready feel. After all, we bet there will be plenty of people
at the car shows who will want you to pretend like you're hauling
other classics away. Or maybe you want to put your own decal/magnet
over the cool hand-painted door art to showcase your business
around town in a very unique way. And you can really do just about
anything you want because the 3600-series were made for extra duty,
and so it can be a real tow truck. It has the proper chariot bed to
fit the Holmes winch and full wrecker package. The details are
terrific everywhere from the pinstripe toolbox to the working roof
light package. And it's a true dually with heavy-duty 8-lug
wheels.
Inside, the classic bench seat, door panels, and dash all
coordinate in a two-tone tan and brown. It makes for a package
that's pure vintage cool. The robust rubber floor, tall shifter,
and classic feel of the large/grippy steering wheel really get you
ready for old-school truck duty.
While the classic wrecker look is awesome, your favorite upgrade
might just be under the hood. They took the time to showcase
Chevy's inline-six with a bright head cover and an overall tidy
style. So it keeps the robust powerhouse that was the backbone of
this Advance Design series of trucks. But as you dig just a little
deeper, you're going to see plenty of upgrades for added power and
consistency. This is a 261 cubic-inch Grooms block built with 848
high compression head, a Howards camshaft, and an Offenhauser split
intake with dual Rochester carburetors on top. There are nice
supporting components like an alternator and billet distributor.
And it exhales out of a set of Clifford split headers for a true
dual exhaust. You take proper control with the four-speed manual
transmission. First gear has the ideal low-speed, high-torque
granny gear so you can pull some real truck duty if you choose.
You're looking at a rare and interesting 3600 Chevy with the
features to still be a workhorse. So if you're a lover of distinct
classics, this is that perfect industrial-sized prize. Call
