Melanson Motors is proud to offer this amazing 1935 Ford Cabriolet Restomod. This car was a multi-year build finished in 2003. It has custom touches everywhere you look. This Ford comes with extensive paperwork, receipts and pictures of the build. The car is an excellent driver and has 6500 miles since the build. It features a Chevrolet LS1 engine mated to a 4L60E automatic transmission with a Specialty Auto-Tech transmission cooler. The engine is cooled by an aluminum radiator with electric fans. The rear end is a completely polished Corvette rear. This car has disc brakes front and rear with polished C4 finned calipers and a Wilwood master cylinder. It sits on coilovers and handles like it is on rails. The power steering is a Flaming River system with braided lines. The wheels are polished American Racing Torq-Thrust and are 16x7 front and 17x8 rear. The tires are Goodyear Eagle radials.
The tube chassis is an exceptional custom built unit and has been painted body color from front to back. The undercarriage is incredibly detailed with polished aluminum everywhere you look. The exhaust system is mandrel bent and ceramic coated front to back. The body is a high quality composite sold by Cutting Edge. The doors are operated by electric poppers and open suicide style. The hood opens toward the front of the car and the trunk raises and lowers electronically by a switch. The convertible top is tan in color and is in great shape. The paint is show quality Champagne Mist and Alternative Topaz. The chrome bumpers are in like new condition and the car has LED tail lights.
The interior is absolutely stunning! Custom designed and fabricated, it features power operated Cadillac seats, power windows, polished Vintage Air controls and polished aluminum cup holders (hidden at the base of the seats). The custom fabricated console features a door which opens and closes to hide the ignition and window controls for a clean look. The dash is painted body color and has a gorgeous set of Dolphin Gauges. The trunk is upholstered to match the rest of the interior. The sound system is a Clarion system with amplifier, 4 speakers, 2 subwoofers and a 6 CD changer. The steering features a polished Ididit tilt column and polished banjo 3 spoke wheel.
